Meet Our Pastor

Image

The Rev. Cathy Hedmark came to us in July 2015 as a second career pastor called to rural ministry. She is a 1982 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and 2004 graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary, where she received her M.Div. Having taught Sunday school for many years while her children grew up, she felt called to share the story of God's love, as revealed in Jesus Christ, with adults as well as children.

She not only loves to tell the old, old story-she enjoys other people's stories too. Tell her yours. She likes hearing how God works in your life, pondering great questions, and praying with people. Working with young children is a particular joy, so bring the kids to church and see what happens!

Besides parish life, Pastor Cathy is a wife and mother. She lives with her husband Ken and their two long-haired dachshunds, Marty and Katie. Pastor Cathy and Ken also have two grown children, Dave and Nicole.

In her spare time, Pastor Cathy enjoys flower gardening, quilting, knitting, reading, and Facebook. She is a dabbler, so if there's an art or craft you love, she'll be interested. Ken is a hunter, fisherman, and story-teller, who has published a book and sells prints of his wildlife paintings.
